@hoovesofhopesanctuary: The Appaloosa family of three ♥️ Quick visit to this special family of Lady Grey, Mr Bojangles and Pipsqueak. In the evening light they all look especially beautiful and check out Pip’s white spots coming out across her behind. They’re all so spectacular as they emerge into their glorious summer colors. We had been pretty surprised as Lady Grey lost her grulla dirty coat and has turned more grey and now seems to be getting an appy blanket and now “little miss dun” is also turning into a whole new horse too. These three were all rescued from a kill pen in Texas walking round in circles knee deep in mud. And worried the baby would be sold separately, we jumped in and bailed all three. It turned out Bojangles and Grey were born at the Burns corrals just 90 minutes from our sanctuary to Warm Springs mares. What a story they have - adopted out as babies together, somehow Lady Grey was bred and had this scared and wild baby at her side. But thanks to staff and volunteers this baby now is gentled and loves people and today I saw a great video of her laying down with Tatiana asking for strokes and so relaxed and then Bojangles went down too. To know they trust and feel that comfortable with humans after all they have gone through is sweet reward. So here’s our weekend update and I shall post some more in stories. Update on Shasta - she is standing and doing much better and Janelle will see her tomorrow at the hospital and get a further update. We will keep posting vet texts and photos on Patreon and thank you to everyone who joined there to help out with her vet bill so we never have to worry about emergencies. We are all saying lots of prayers and seeing Pip tonight doing so well and looking so pretty gave me tons of hope for Shasta too. The key is getting these youngsters medical help quickly and that is all thanks to the Skydog team who work so hard for them so thank you 🙏 Who knows where this Appaloosa transformation will end but I’m on the appy train and can’t wait to watch these spots come out ♥️ #HorsePlus #HorseRescue #HorseShelter #ADOPTED #Besties #DynamicDuo #HorseStory #SuccessStory #EndBigLick #JusticeForTWH #BreakTheSilence #BigLick #Share #EndAnimalcruelty #EndAnimalAbuse
