@wellnesswithlinds: When you’re parentified as a child—forced to take care of others before yourself… When you’re emotionally dismissed—told you’re too sensitive, dramatic, or overreacting… When you’re blamed just for speaking up or setting boundaries… You don’t just carry the emotional weight. You carry it in your body. Chronic stress from childhood doesn’t disappear. It rewires your nervous system. It raises your cortisol. It can lead to: ▪️ Hormonal imbalances ▪️ Digestive issues ▪️ Anxiety and insomnia ▪️ Autoimmune conditions We were taught to suppress, accommodate, perform. But our bodies? They remember what we were told to forget. If you’re doing the work to unlearn, to feel, to heal—you’re not being “too much.” You’re being brave. And your body will thank you.
PCOS, hashimotos, lupus, CPTSD and borderline 😅 I’m actually okay. I don’t speak to much of my family.

Everytime I see one of these it makes me think about how should have been the oldest daughter…clearly the youngest isn’t supposed to feel like this. But the oldest daughter here is floating by on cloud 9, her world being carted around by our parents. She has yet to touch the grass.

Nervous system definitely in constant fight or flight. Joint pain and muscle aches every morning. Always have to be on the go and thinking to myself “what’s the next goal?” I seek chaotic (as in, a lot to do) work environments and I tremble (my hands) as soon as there’s any confrontation even if it’s minor or not even confrontation, just nerves because we disagree… my hands start to shake and i stumble over my words if I feel the persons vibe is off. Used to think I was sesnsifoce to energy which maybe, but i mostly think my nervous system is just disregulatsd and i have CPTSD lol
NO WAY. I've dealt with pcos for so long and had no idea till 17. one month before I turned 18. me and my
