My concern is when they get a taste of outdoors they try and escape whenever you open the door. From experience.

I use a dog kennel, with a shade cloth.. plus a kitty hammock in the corners. they go in and out as they please 🌞

My cat use to be destructive at 3am and keep us awake. Now I put him in the catio and he jumps from shelf to shelf just enjoying the sights and sounds of the outside. He was an outdoor stray we took in and now he gets his outside fix. Highly recommend.
