don‘t forget to check your balance (the needs of your people = production) and sell what is produced over their needs so you can earn more money. „pause“ the companies that don‘t have a need for awhile, so you can save some money from there. english is not my first language but hope it helps 😅

My biggest rec is turning off the AIs, keep Anne so you can trade gold later but having the option to take all the islands is great plus avoids the war

I might be late here but it's so rare to meet another fellow girl who had samr harsh beginnings with this game but I loved it later 😍 My best tips: - Watch on Youtube Taka's Beginner's Guide - do not play with preset choice of AI's, always make your custom game and start with choosing only one star enemies, - never agree on any alliance, ever 😂 - try to get one island close to Eli Bleakworth, with all fertylities for worker's tier (potatoes, grain, hops) and dedicate this island to soap production in LARGE amounts and create a trade route with Eli to sell him all the soap. - offer pirates ceasefire in early game and use diplomacy (this might cost less) and gifts to build up relationship with them to get trade contract with pirates. Buy ships from pirates, they are powerfull. - always keep production of consumption goods at minimal, just to cover needs to be able to afford all construction materials factories, - make sure you will never run out of alcohol, - keep attention to festivals and temporary buffs to not be surprised why suddently there is workforce problem or sudden drop of income. Festivals can make you feel "too relaxed", because they give great bonuses, but once they end, the change can be dramatic, it is better to be aware and prepared. - at early game - DO every quest available from AI, this is main source of income until you will make your soap business running and stable economy, - Always buy steel profiles from Archie, do not wait until you will make enough yourself, as soon you will unlock the factory, Archibald start selling it too, but all and get islands you want as soon as possible.
