@itsxanthiaa: I’m honestly so lost in this journey, food addiction / binge eating has been such a difficult journey but I always find myself back in the same spot I was previously. I have been to therapy, tried drinking so much water & walking for mental health but I’m still struggling. Idk how to break the cycle and I’ve been trying so hard, it’s like my brain goes into autopilot so I’m trying to find new methods where I can be more conscious about all the decisions I’m making. Any help or tips in the comments would be so greatly appreciated 💗💗 #BED #bingeeating

Lowkey what helped me was immediately putting gum in my mouth after a meal (trident is good for teeth even!) or walking during times I know I’m more prone to binging like 8-10pm!

Same 💕 My therapist gave me a method that helped heaps I made a little ‘brain cloud’ of things I love & feel good doing, then printed it out to keep around the house. When the urge hits, I pick one do it all while talking kindly to myself, and afterwards reflect on what led me there & what I’m proud of. It’s been such a gentle reset for me took a while to rewire my brain but it paid off

Something that has helped me with BE heaps is to meal prep certain amounts, to not buy big packets of chips/lollies/chocolate etc only small packets and to remind myself every single time I eat that food isn’t going anywhere and I always have access to it so I don’t need to eat it all. Have had BE since I was 12 and I haven’t binged in over a year now, you got this girl xx

Hiya, I have BED, starting therapy helped me sooooo much. One of the habits I’ve implemented is when I have the craving to binge I put on a tv show and do a craft, like crocheting, paint by numbers, colouring in ect, it keeps my mind and my hands busy and usually the binge feeling will pass. But if not then sometimes it’s better let yourself eat something you’re craving and be kind to yourself. The more you push binge eating away and the more restrictive you are the worse it’ll get. Healing isn’t linear.

Hey girl, I know how hard it is and it’s not easy. I find personally binging is a coping mechanism that comes from unprocessed trauma usually. Find what specific thing is causing you to be anxious, stressed or whatever emotion you’re currently feeling etc and see if you can find the situation where that first happened in your life, where did it come from? Usually it’s a specific thing behaviour or something from a person. As someone that’s done a lot of healing and struggled too with binge eating it’s something I realised that’s where it came from for me. Hope this helps, sending all the love your way ♥️

I was a binge eater for 28 years, then got diagnosed with ADHD. Since taking vyvanse to manage the ADHD symptoms, the anxiety and binge eating have almost disappeared completely!

There has been a couple of things I’ve learnt going to the gym for the past 2 months which is: One: Your getting 1% better each day. Two: The more you work on you and stop comparing yourself to others in the gym and in life, things will be easier for you. Three: Have trust in the Process my girl! Think of yourself as a Katana (sword) being sharpened and ready for however it takes work. I BELIEVE IN YOU!!
