thank you for this amazing analysis! i think that the sandman (both show and comics) is one of those pieces of media that each time you rewatch/reread always gives you new things to reflect upon and new ways to interpret the themes portrayed, + it’s full of references to history and literature that are always very nice to catch, and that’s what imo makes it such a masterpiece

This was beautiful to read!! I was just thinking to myself about how Dream restricts himself because he thinks he has as he is an Endless and not human. Whereas they are constantly changing through hate, envy, love, etc. But like you’ve articulated, Dream experienced all those things in this season. Which shows his reason to grow this season because he hides behind his wall. But when confronted, he lashes out because he feels these extreme emotions
