As they take flight, flapping their tail fins to propel themselves into the air, they seem almost weightless, skimming across the surface of the water. However, their flight doesn’t always guarantee safety. Birds of prey, like seagulls and terns, are quick to spot their airborne escape and swoop down with lightning speed.
