In the end, blindly believing a film backed by the Chinese government without any doubt is, frankly, naïve.
The actions of the Chinese government cannot simply be taken as truth.
While many Japanese people are known for their politeness, in China public manners are often lacking—noisy, careless, and inconsiderate behavior is common. There is no reason to defend or sympathize with such low standards of conduct.
What about the Uyghur issue?
Which country was the origin of COVID-19 and other outbreaks like Chikungunya? China.
Even today, China continues to commit cruel acts.
Historically, during the Tongzhou Incident, Japanese civilians were massacred, and photos of their corpses were later altered and misrepresented as “evidence” of the Nanjing Massacre. In fact, the Nanjing case involved attacks by plainclothes soldiers, which themselves violated the Geneva Conventions of that time. Executions under those circumstances were not unlawful. The claim of 300,000 victims is a huge exaggeration, and in Taiwan the general understanding is similar.
The United States, Russia, Germany, and others have all committed serious wrongs in history, but not every country has apologized for all of them.
In the end, people are simply being manipulated by one-sided narratives.
