I had a macular pucker. Waited until my vision was 20/70 to do the surgery. I had an 80% chance of improved vision. What I got was a 100% dead retina and we don't know why. 😭😭😭

Thank you, such a clear explanation. I had a full macular hole when I was 50. Had surgery with and was face down for 2 weeks and hole closed. Cataract has now developed 4 years later. Doctor wants to wait as long as possible to do cataract surgery because it is more risky after having vitrectomy . What are your thoughts on having cataract surgery, do you suggest waiting?

Is the surgery a vitrectomy? 11 months post op and I am on acular for healing. Thanks for explaining. I am in Canada and social medicine is inferior.

I had an asymptomatic MAC on RD at 26 with retinal tears and holes on both eyes with lattice degeneration as a -10 myope. I’m so thankful for my optometrist and retinal surgeon. You guys are the best 🙏🏾

I’m 30 and have had 5 holes so far. (Was a -6 before lasik. My AL is 26) I’ve had a retinopexy to both eyes. So so so many shots. Talk about PAIN. I’m just waiting for a RD 😫😫😫

It was very thoughtful of you to share such information. I have a reason to believe the vitreous hemorrhage surgery performed for my eye was immensely. I’m diabetic. It’s been a year since my surgery still can’t see properly. Silicon eye bubble was kept in my eye for almost 3 months. Initially the surgery was successful The eyelea injection lead to a cataract too. The surgery also led to a glacoima, I had undergone a surgery introducing a shunt in my eye. Recently o was given avastin. However it was safe and my eyesight did improve in the left one without surgery but the right eye has inflammation to a point that whatever you mentioned in the video is actually happening for the past year. Lost my complete faith with the doctors in Dubai. All they see an ATM walking on the clinic with zero knowledge of what they are doing. I hope there were some good doctors like you, at least to explain to a patient that he’s legally considered blind from one eye. Instead they choose to look on their pockets rather than a patients eye. 🤣🤣🤣
