@miniaturewerewolf: Citrus does not thrive in the Pacific Northwest, and the one time I tried to grow an indoor/outdoor lemon tree, I failed miserably. (Sorry, lemon tree!) The next best thing is a miniature version!⁣ ⁣ Tree is made from thin gauge floral wires twisted together. Next I wrap the trunk and branches in white floral tape, and I shape the tree by trimming the branches. The whole tree is painted and then dry brushed in a lighter color to add dimension. The lemons are made from Sculpey Premo, textured with 80 grit sandppaper, and baked on wire. (I rest the lemons on salt when I bake.) The leaves are made from painters tape folded over wire, which is cut, painted, and shaped with round nose pliers. Lemons and leaves are attached using wire and/or superglue.⁣ The whole tree is secured inside a pot with the help of air dry clay, which is covered in a layer of PVA glue and topped with brewed and dried tea for “dirt”. ⁣ Next time I will experiment with attaching lemons and leaves prior to wrapping the tree in floral tape to better hide the wires. ⁣ ⁣ #miniature #Miniatures #MiniaturePlant #LemonTree #miniaturelemontree #sculpeypremo #painterstape #cheerful #tutorial
