@noelhann0: A nurse’s phone at St Luke’s Hospital in Warren I caught making fun of a patient who had been yelling for help in the hallway for over an hour. Just before this started I watched a nurse walk up, put his phone there, and another nurse laughing as she’s about to walk into my man’s room. They called the cops on us and want to trespass us from the hospital for this so make this go #viral #hospital #emergency #emergencyroomnurselifefyprgency #newjersey #nj #foryoupage #sad
to be fair some patients just be yelling to yell 😩 you'll go in there 20 million times and as soon as you leave they start yelling.

I've had patients yell for help when you are literally standing right beside them, helping them. only those in healthcare may understand. it's not about mocking it's about NOTHING can stop some from yelling out

There are a lot of patients that yell out consistently for 12 hours straight (brain injury or stroke/dementia patients) and we sometimes use dark humor to keep from losing our minds but this is not acceptable in any way shape or form . Ask for the quality department and make a formal complaint .

As a nurse there are patients that yell help or nurse 24/7 so this might be the case where the nurse has had enough. I have begged patients please don’t call help you have me running the halls looking in every room and it’s you wanting nothing

“Some patients yell for help constantly for nothing”…… and the phone left there to bully and antagonize that person is normal behavior? Some of y’all’s mentality is so gross. 🤮

I listened to this same type of thing the last time I was in the ER! I know staff is extremely overworked and underpaid, however, this is completely unacceptable! This is so sad to see

I had patients yelling because they have dementia I'm sure the nurses are aware and on top of that I don't know why you all think it's okay to record

You guys wouldn’t believe the things I’ve seen while working as a patient server. There would literally only be one nurse per wing sometimes and people would constantly want help and be IGNORED.

Update, we went down to the hospital today and NO ONE in the day shift knew about this, not even that the cops showed up. I made this aware to the staff and they’re going to look into it. I’ll keep posting any new information

Like why take a job in the medical field if you’re not even going to do the bare minimum and care for people? Go work at a factory or something. How sad.. hope the lady is doing ok now

ER holds hallway pt. She is stable enough to be in thr hallway. she can clearly breathe. the holds nurse probably has 4-5 other pts that actually need medical attention and can't be a 1:1 sitter. Hope this enlightens you a bit about it.

As a CNA in a SNF, at first I thought it was the typical person with dementia yelling for help over and over who has been helped and checked on and doesn’t need anything, but seeing the PHONE placed there IS INSANE. No matter what the situation with the person, mocking them or “pranking” a patient?? Where I’m from that’s definitely a fireable offense. Seems neglectful and very unprofessional there.
