The tap water thing depends on where you live. In Finland for example tap water is cleaner than bottled water and my calatheas love it

Had her for a year now. Shes been serving off a mix of tap and left over bottled water, indirect sunlight, and the TV in her ear. She just started sprouting her stalks for flowers. Thea is living her best life.
