Membalas @koongstar11 nih request anda tuan --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Lockheed F-117 Nighthawk is a retired American single-seat, subsonic, twin-engine stealth attack aircraft. It was developed by Lockheed's Skunk Works division and operated by the United States Air Force (USAF). The F-117 was the first operational aircraft designed with stealth technology. Development and Design Work on the F-117 began in the 1970s to counter increasingly sophisticated Soviet surface-to-air missiles (SAMs). In 1976, DARPA contracted Lockheed to produce the Have Blue technology demonstrator, which validated the stealth concept. The F-117's faceted shape, made from two-dimensional flat surfaces, contributed to its low radar cross-section (RCS) of approximately 0.001 m². To minimize its infrared signature, it featured a non-circular tail pipe that mixed hot exhaust with cool ambient air and lacked afterburners, restricting it to subsonic speeds. Operational History The F-117 was a black project for many years, with its existence denied by USAF officials. It was publicly acknowledged on November 10, 1988. Its first combat mission was during the United States invasion of Panama in 1989. The F-117 gained widespread recognition for its role in the Gulf War in 1991, where it flew approximately 1,300 sorties and scored direct hits on high-value targets in Iraq. F-117s also participated in the conflict in Yugoslavia, during which one was shot down by a surface-to-air missile in 1999. It was also active in Operation Enduring Freedom in 2001 and Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003. Retirement and Current Status The USAF retired the F-117 in April 2008, primarily due to the fielding of the F-22 Raptor. However, some F-117s have been kept in airworthy condition and have been observed flying since 2009. As of 2023, the U.S. Air Force is looking to extend its operations of the "retired" F-117s to 2034. Key Features and Specifications - Role: Stealth attack aircraft - Manufacturer: Lockheed Corporation - First Flight: June 18, 1981 - Introduction: October 1983 - Crew: 1 - Length: 65 ft 11 in (20.09 m) - Wingspan: 43 ft 4 in (13.20 m) - Height: 12 ft 9.5 in (3.78 m) - Maximum Speed: Mach 0.92 (617 mph, 993 km/h) - Armament: Two internal weapons bays capable of carrying laser-guided bombs and other munitions. The F-117 Nighthawk was a revolutionary aircraft that paved the way for future stealth technology and played a crucial role in various military operations. #LockheedF117#Fighterjet#Foryoupage #fypシ゚ #military
