kinda random, but opinion on daniel craig’s accent as benoit blanc? as a southerner i love it but it seems to be super divisive, so i’d love to hear your take on it!

Most of my speech teachers in acting school have recommended only ever thinking/reading/learning your lines in accent because then you learn those words how you are going to say them and no other way. Just one POV for anyone else curious!

Your narration of Louis L’Amour’s Comstock Lode was probably my favorite audiobook I’ve ever listened to. I still re-listen to it every year or so

what is being “good at accents?” does it just come from hearing many differ t ones as a child, so you’re more attuned to the differences?

When I intro a new character in my dnd games with a new accent, I’ll typically spend some days beforehand speaking in the accent in my free time to get to a point where I don’t need to think about what I’m doing. I also try to listen to regional speakers when I can.

Hugh Laurie who plays House said he's never felt relaxed in the American accent. to my English ears I feel like he nails it. does he tho? every time Americans do aussie accent it sould like a new Zealand accent.

Thank you so much for your answer. I have always wondered this, like, my whole life. And I guess if you’re big enough actor you can be lazy AF with accent 😂 some people just have that listen and repeat pattern recognition for accents, like Jodi Comer holy crap

The way you said coffee and thought was bang on for the New Zealand accent / didn't remotely sound Australian
