I hate the auto stop. All it does is drain your battery and you have to get a battery earlier than normal.

They do this to make you come back for maintenance and the long time cost will increase more because the is a counter on the alternator and it will quit work after so many times it turns off. So it’s a horrible feature just to get more money out of you. If I get a newer vehicle I will get it removed.

You wants to know what is annoying when you leave your keys in the truck and it beeps at you twice like a snitch. I wish I could turn that off. when I'm out and about I leave my keys in the truck because I'm not too far away and the truck beeps to let the world know you're there.

Mechanic here, the auto start/stop is actually so bad for the engine and put premature wear on the starter, those vehicles eat through starters and they aren't cheap

auto start stop uses less gas than idling if you idle for more than 15 seconds, the starter doesn't have to work as hard because the engine is warm, and they design the starter to work with auto start. that said, it works way better on hybrids, which don't use a traditional starter.

I’ve had this happen and just so everyone knows there’s no such thing as returning a car I mean in some cases real mechanical issues that we don’t know about sure maybe we will make something work but you can’t get buyers remorse and just bring it back

I hate the auto stop! lol I’m in F&I now but when it first came out on vehicles, I was in sales. I made sure to tell them about it numerous times before they left… after this situation happened to me 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤣
