they were aggressive at first because it was an accident and they didn't know his faculties yet. he could have killed someone. once they determined he was mentally incapacitated they were nicer to him

So he causes a car accident, fleas the scene, comes BACK and rear ends a stationary vehicle (which luckily no one was in) and people expect those cops to not be slightly aggressive? Once they learned of his mental state they calmed down so fast.

A little aggressive there fella maybe the poor man is having a medical problem. compassion goes a long way. he is obviously confused for a reason was it the cause of the crash or after the crash. definitely something wrong

Heard his tone change as he started to realize the old man's confusion. I'd say he caught on quick being that the officer likely assumed it was a drunk driver. He listened to the old man and adjusted to the situation nicely. Good job!!!

older people don't have quick reflexes as a younger person for instance to swerve quick if they had to. after a certain age you have to hang up the keys I know everybody's different..

for everyone commenting on the aggression, see how he eased up right after the man said he was just lost. he then realized he may have dementia/Alzheimer’s. he’s obviously gonna approach a vehicle that just had an easily avoidable accident with some authority. it’s his job.
