I also am really into spirituality too, I used to be part of spiritual groups and trust when I say it was really toxic, I had to isolate myself and no longer be around these people because a lot of them were abusive and hide behind spiritualism as a way to not grow.

Audhd person with similar interests. I did the same thing when I moved to a new city. I was surprised how mean a lot of people “spiritual” can be. I used to think I was being over sensitive because I grew up pretty sheltered in a smaller town. These days I think it’s because narcissists hate how hard it is to manipulate a lot of neurodivergent people and feel threatened. Also more than a few were just trying to sleep with me.

I have tried this few times and I get super excited that others share the same interest as me but like I have this deep interest about stuff and it can be also bit too intense even I try to keep myself calm but it just needs one wrong talking subject and I get overly excited that somebody also thinks about stuff like these and then again I get outcasted even in those places

this has been my problem most of my life. like, in regards to literally everything I enjoy. I like things but don't tend to like the ppl who like the same things that I do. all of my friends are ppl who broadly enjoy similar enough things as I do, but not the exact things, so I still feel isolated, but I guess I just have to take what I can get at this point 🥲

My interests are private interests, not shareable ones. Especially my spirituality, because everyone is on their own path, and I have my own ideas about mine. I've met people like that "leader", and it just showed me that all humans are humans, nobody's the wiser. It's just an evolution in each person's own potential, not to a state that makes them objectively evolved in a holistic sense.

Felt. Some older women focus on us cause we are “different” and feel comfort by trying to embarrass us in group settings. It’s def weird behavior 🙄

Friendships only worked out for me when I was the one that got 'picked' as a friend. Also all the friends I made in my life are sensitive, autistic or highly intelligent. We are accepting and understand each other
