I had a nerve block, the thickest longest needle straight into my armpit. I was crying like a baby.

Thankfully I was put under general anesthesia and requested a nerve block. No pain at all, and my fistula works great thanks to the vascular surgeon and staff.

just had my 4th attempt all local, all rejected, small vessels and low blood flow despite high BP, tbh I would have another 4 not to have the neck line but think it's heading that way but positivity is key ❤️

I didn’t find it bad at all. Local anaesthetic worked well and the procedure itself was very bearable. The few months of maturation of the fistula don’t hurt at all. Needling during dialysis is the worst pain associated with anything and that is bearable too 🤷🏻♀️

I’ve had so many of these I cannot count all under general anaesthetic. Mine kept blocking up and I have scars all up my arms from all the attempts.
