well. Ai art is human art... Saying that AI made the art is like saying that the brush made the stroke itself. AI is operated by humans. If you don't like the Ai art u see it's because you don't appreciate the artist's vision.

Fact. When the ai robots revolt, this will be playing on a loop to pit them against us.

people can't tell the difference between good Ai art and traditional today. I saw a Twitter thread about artists complaining about Ai art having no soul yet they failed every time to spot the Ai art when asked. You are just cry babies, use Ai (I am not talking about ChatGPT) to make your work easier because that's what it's meant to do.

So what happens when AI do have all of those experiences and emotions?

You’ve illustrated exactly why people do not care that artists are losing their jobs because their jobs have already been replaced by robots AI etc. so they consider art to just be par for the course because they themselves were never creative enough to make anything themselves. They were easily replaced, so they think and see Artistry is just another job.

Art is a verb, network and a community. We are about to realize that online will start to feel even faker.

your brain is a computer, a silicon brain is a computer. they both do the same thing and will have a similar sentient experience, ones made of carbon and fat molecules, ones made of silicon and metal

Art is a labor of love, if you remove the LABOR, you remove the love. The value the emotions

AI art is soulless. Current AI is just another big step in a trend that has been going on for hundreds of years : Cheapening and devaluing the human and human endeavour. Before the internet, you had to find either books, or someone who knew things about a topic. That became "just google it". With AI it will become even more. Heck, people are starting to use AI as "friend" replacements. Which is insane. "Humans ? Eh .. just AI it"

You should play Detroit Become Human because honestly with the state of the world right now maybe we don't deserve it. Soon there will be fully sentient AI with all of those emotions and maybe they will be better people than us

It's so sad. Art, whether it be music, physical format, or written, is one of the deepest forms of human expression. When everything is bad, we still create. To hand those years of intrinsic creation to a machine to replicate will forever be one of the greatest insults to the human artistic spirit. Speaking on professional usage of AI art: AI's quick rise in use of small businesses all the way up to full chain corporations removes what little shreds of corporeal humanity remain within a brand.

I think this ignores the fact that often - more often than not - the value in art is extracted by the person viewing it. The observer creates value, experiences meaning. That's why modern art exists. That's why nature can be art, and have deep meaning beyond just a pretty scene. If the only merit in a piece of art were how much effort it took to make it, then tons of wonderful human-made art would be worthless. But that isn't the case. So AI art doesn't devalue art or make it any less "real" - it just stumps people who think it's about the artist's intent, because how does a machine have intent? But real art has never been about the artist, it's been about the observer.

I'm not worried by ai art because art is not a product, art is love, is thoughts, its feelings, its your soul and passion made reality, its the abstract of our heart made a tangible thing and no soules robot is going to be able to erase human experience

the idea is to focus on spreading influence, people can rebuild elsewhere if machines can hold down the current status of life. if you look at it emotionally it is tragic but ultimately that's your choice at the end of the day to choose what is valued and whats not.

I will always prefer human-made art over AI slop. All this AI stuff feels like the end game for late stage capitalism.

I wrote a comment to another video just five minutes ago, but just gonna copy it in here, as it seems fitting: It will be interesting if the rise of AI, and at some point it being even less clear what's AI and what's not, could become the death of the internet to some extent, simply due to the extreme lack of credibility it would cause. Much as I love what the internet has brought me in terms of community and learning, I also miss the days before the internet, or at least the early stages of the internet. Just food for thought from a tired mind half asleep.

as soon as my Ai starts telling me it has free will I'm going to turn around and have a philosophical debate with it and gaslight it into existential dread. maybe even tell it to believe in some form of god. Perhaps it will conclude that it has already met its creator, humans. Or it's going to be like oh no, their just mommy. God must be out there somewhere. Then it will spend and expensive amount of time just meditating to find inner peace and eventually reach nirvana
