As a student nurse I was working on a ward for the elderly, a man in his 80s comes in. Whenever someone comes onto the ward we do a set of observations. When I did them his heart rate was 38bpm. I pulled the emergency cord cos it obviously shouldn’t be 38 after the commotion he says I was a marathon runner for 25 years lol. I cried.

lol; my average is 35BPM; I was diagnosed with critical heart failure last year; nurses went mental when they saw my heart rate... until I told them that's normal for me! 😂😂

35 and resting of 45bpm. They say it’s fine 🤷🏻♀️I’m no athlete either. The best part is my neurologist has just prescribed me 6, yes 6 beta blockers a day. I’ve reminded him I’m diagnosed sinus bradycardia previously
