If you do this please calculate the resting energy requirement and only give them 10% (the treat allowance) worth of calories in coconut oil. There are calorie calculators online. Or use the 30(weight in kg)+70. So a 12 lbs cat you would do 30×5.4+70=232 kcals per day. That's only 23 Kcals for their entire treat allowance. So offering a 1/2 teaspoon would be 20 kcals. This can add up very quickly. Especially if you are giving even slightly more.
