I’ve been terminating these since the 90s. I’ve never twisted the ends. I straighten them out and cut the at the width of my thumb. But you do you boo-boo.

I line them up, pass through on, crimp on, twist then cut.

I use pass through connectors all the time and have never had a cable fail. I work in a very wet and corrosive plant

I cut to size stick and crimp, Also those pass thru connectors give problems sometimes. That’s y I Don’t use them.

I twist them after getting them through to stop the mess. But not for the origins trim, I just catch that part. And I love pass through for everything.
