I finally went no contact in December, my wedding is in a month. He emailed me saying “I love you and think about you every day” and said he was happy for me getting married. It was two sentences. After 7 months he addressed nothing from my letter about how i was feeling hurt and uncared for and unsafe emotionally. Am I crazy or is that next level victimizing and ignoring ???

You’re right his image is everything. He praised me to his friends but told me in private that they agreed I was a bad daughter. He used money as leverage over me. When I came to him about hurting my feelings he flipped it and said I need to apologize for hurting him.

What in the worlds going on :
This hit hard. There is so much info on toxic moms, but not fathers. It was so subtle. I finally figured it out when I went to therapy over my horrible anxiety.
