Fellow Texan here. No one predicted that amount of rain just like no one predicted 64” of rain in 48 hrs during Harvey in my area. No one alive had ever seen that magnitude of flood. Just like Camp Mystic had been there for almost 100 yrs and had never flooded like July 4th. Thank you for this post! FYI:love your hair!

I think there needs to be more tiers of danger For flash flooding. I’m in Texas and I basically ignore them unless I know I am supposed to drive somewhere. I don’t think I even realized that what happened was even possible.
