The reason why stuff doesn’t make sense it’s because leader’s financial incentives are usually hidden and they are often in conflict with corporate goals or other departments. So, it’s just people trying to protect their bonus

As time goes on, the smartest people in the room are typically the ones who are quiet and/or speak seldom but with high impact. Corporate is frustrating for sure and it’s often heartbreaking to see talent not given agency or recognized.

I got a whole masters to work in corporate, had a cushy and well paying job and left because I was so bored and unfulfilled to the point I became incredibly depressed. I would say I wish I could adapt to it but I love the career I’m in now

Had a moment today where my boss stopped me and asked why something hadn't been done. I explained in minute detail each thing that was taking my time. He eventually conceded. I shouldn't need to defend myself.
