✨ Yosake in Wilmington, North Carolina was a whole experience! I went for a friend’s birthday dinner. We actually tried to hit another sushi spot first, but baby… that 2-hour wait? Absolutely not 😭 so we walked over to Yosake downtown after seeing it at the farmers market. We got there right at happy hour and they had tons of rolls at super affordable prices. I tried the $5 spicy salmon roll — it was giving dry and no flavor, but honestly for $5, I wasn’t gonna act up. The ✨ star of the show ✨ was those pork buns! Thick piece of meat tucked inside a fluffy bao bun… 10/10, everybody at the table loved them. I also decided to get adventurous and try a coconut lemongrass soup — it tasted like curry water at first 😅 but it grew on me. If you love Indian flavors, you’ll probably vibe with it. Plus, it was only $3, so no complaints. I ended up spending less than $25 total. We sat at the sushi bar (there was a line for other tables) and got to watch them make the rolls. And listen… the sushi chef?
