I feel like it’s not that big of a deal. I mean what’s a bigger financial loss? Tons of trays of perfectly good food getting wasted or less of that food getting wasted and it’s instead given to innocent children with parents that can’t afford nice lunches

they only toss the food - what's the issue. I remember when I was in grade school, we could go back for seconds after all students were fed. They preferred to do that instead of throwing it out.

Fired for feeding kids. Sickening. In my county, EVERY TEACHER pitches in to buy fruits, snacks, juice boxes and puts them in brown paper bags and EVERY student has an opportunity to get one so that NO CHILD is sent home hungry with nothing to eat. We are a very very poor county in central KY and my kids have even shared their lunches and my mom who is a teacher has bought lunches before for kids. This world is cruel to kids already and we as adults don’t need to kick them when they’re down.

nah nah them babies are hungry...she did right! this is why I always packed extra food with my kids that way if they knew someone was struggly or their family was struggling..every 3 months id pack snack buckets that my kids left in their lockers for anyone needing a light snack through the day...you feed kids...you dont fire anyone who feeds them babies!! expecially when SHE paid for it
