@homelessprojectscotland: 💔 In Loving Memory of Maureen Venables 💔 It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our beloved friend and volunteer, Maureen Venables. Maureen was more than just a volunteer she was a force of nature, a fierce advocate for the homeless, and a constant, smiling presence at our food bank. Maureen never missed a chance to help she served meals with love, spoke with compassion, and stood shoulder to shoulder with the very people society too often ignores. She didn’t just show up, she cared. One of Maureen’s greatest wishes was simple, powerful, and urgent: “Give the homeless a building.” She said it loud, she said it proud from George Square to Glasgow City Council, Maureen never stopped fighting for dignity, for justice, and for shelter for those most in need. Her voice echoed with strength, her heart beat with purpose, and her actions changed lives. She will be deeply missed by every volunteer, every guest, and every person lucky enough to have known her.
