I’ve lived in LA for years and quite literally have never had a conversation that has ever even mentioned LA City? Like, it’s always just LA and context clues indicate distinction. Like: A conversation about rent control in LA is obvs about LA City. This person is not an Angeleno (County 😂).

I used to live in Seal Beach but no one knows where that is. So I just say LA. Even though its technically not in LA county, it borders it and I don’t feel like having a geography lesson 😭

It’s the transplants. I’m from West Covina and when I worked at KROQ. They would be “where?” I’m like 30 mins east of DTLA. Haha but then in the same breath they say they don’t travel past the 110 fwy 😫
