Thank you Nyasha.🥰 Let me add this. James 4:7 tells us that when we submit ourselves to God we can resist the devil and he will flee. However, when it comes to sexual sin we're instructed to flee! 1Cor 6:18 & 2Tim 2:22. Joseph understood and practiced this 1000yrs before Paul and James wrote about it. When it comes to sexual sin the solution to overcome is to physically remove oneself from its presence. The fact that you can resist the devil doesn't mean you have to entertain his presence. Is there a possibility that the reason God didn’t allow them to eat the fruit from the tree of life is so to spare them from living forever in sin and that death was part of the plan for him to save humans from eternal separation/punishment through the death of Christ Jesus ?

This resignated with me. I was heading down this path my self in fact I was only a decision away from sharing myself with someone else other than my partner. (adultering) it wasn’t until how badly I wanted to live a according to God’s standard that I came out and told her the truth about everything. Before things got physically intimate. To this day I stay away from parties or settings that will encourage this type of behavior.
