I have a theories , which is Blackbeard already know Yami Yami Nomi is his father devil fruit. And that's why he kill thatch to get Yami Yami no mi from him. Also the reason why he can use two devil fruit in one body , because of the devil fruit himself. Yami Yami nomi possesses with last user which is Rocks . Means , inside that devil fruit rocks still alive. And then Blackbeard become his new host after Blackbeard eat that devil fruit. So that's why , he can use another devil fruit because naturally he's not possessed devil fruit by himself yet. Familiar right with this type of thing ? Yes , i think same goes to Luffy with Hito Hito Nomi Nika. After Luffy awakening this devil fruit , first time has been reveal is that devil fruit user before is Joyboy. The reason people called Luffy is Joyboy. Not because he is , but the devil fruit himself possessed Luffy to be Joyboy or Nika. That mean, same goes to Blackbeard. Luffy also naturally not possessed devil fruit by himself yet . Basically nika devil fruit possessed joyboy and merge with him then choose Luffy as their host. And come to my theories is , about one piece himself. I have two way when come to this theories . First is what if , one piece himself is not like people expect to be . Which is , one piece himself is the counterpart of devil fruit or protection again any kind of darkness and evilness. ( probably the special devil fruit or something really powerful ) Second is what if , one piece himself is Hito Hito Nomi Nika . Which is already introduced at beginning of episode one piece. We already know shanks bring a treasure stolen from world government. And what if that treasure is One Piece himself and before Roger carry after he's discover last island have that devil fruit then he's make decision to surrender his life , then he let world government capture that devil fruit . The reason why , because Nika devil fruit only choose his user and Roger knows that. And he's hope , someday the person Joyboy wanted will come. Which is Luffy after 20 Years.
