I have lipedema in my arms and I would say yes that looks like lipedema. Of course I’m not a doctor but I think it’s worth bringing it up to your doctor. Lipedema is about trying to break up fibrotic fat (which the body can’t break down naturally) GLP1’s have actually shown to be able to help break it up (I’m on ozempic now and have seen actual change in my stage 2 lipedema in my legs. Also I use vibration plate, compression therapy and one of those manual massagers to try and break up those fibroids underneath. For me lipo isn’t an option so I’m trying to do everything I can to see if I can make a difference holistically and those modalities have made the biggest difference.

Im currently having genetic testing for lipodystrophy and started medication. My legs and arms are muscle, I carry around my middle.

I’m not a doctor and know basically nothing, lol but when i lost all my weight the first time i had similar arms and symptoms but was told thats just a hard part to loose cause its now loose skin and they hurt from the weighing down! (Atleast mine was!)

I’m starting to think that’s what mine is as well. I did cheer my whole life before gaining weight and even then my arms were way bigger compared to the rest of my arms! Also get the red patches! I’ll be looking into talking to my doctor about it now. Thank you for posting this!! 💖

Lipolymphedema and Me 🌹 :
I’ve had lipedema in my arms since childhood, but always thought it was just hereditary. By middle age, the lipedema spread to my lower body, including my legs. I am advanced stage lipedema, and I developed Lymphedema in recent years. I’ve lost large amounts of weight and the lipedema didn’t change much. I now know I have LipoLymphedema and it is a struggle. I have a lot more knowledge now, and a plan forward. Good luck on your journey.
