No he is doing his job, my GS does the same thing. He also makes sure whoever is swimming gets out ok He feels very uncomfortable when anyone is splashing around which makes him nervous

My shepherd DOES THE EXACT SAME THING....when we're at my sister's pool. Esp when my grandson jumps in water. PLEASE DONT LISTEN TO PEOPLE WHOSE NEVER OWNED A SHEPHERD. They are a different breed...unless you've owned one you know nothing.

people know everything AND KNOW NOTHING! Working German shepard or malinois is separate from all other dogs...they r the best of the best and no other breed can compare IN MY OPINION
