@mrsamandastanton: We had a very chill 4th of July weekend. 🎆 Grady spent some time working on our fence (we finally found someone to rebuild the brick pillar that got knocked down by our tree trimmers), and he made a lot of progress on it. Zoe helped some. I’ll post that video once I get it edited. 🥰 We had a cookout at home, just us and Abby’s boyfriend, and then we picked up ice cream on our way to watch fireworks. Abby and Aidan drove separately so that he could head home immediately after the fireworks since it was late, and she rode home with us. We considered not going to see the fireworks this year. Zoe talked for a couple of weeks about it being too loud and too bright, and it wasn’t going to work for her. They have always been one of her favorite things to see though. We sit far away from them, and that really helps. This year, we stayed in the van and kept our widows up. I think that really lessened the noise, and she ended up enjoying it, so I’m glad we went. #autismacceptance #autismparenting #fireworks #sensoryissues
