So anytime Im on the highway and a cop passes me, they are normally speeding (with no lights on), so I usually stay behind them going the same speed theyre going bc I figured thats the best way to speed without getting a ticket. Lol I just stay a couple car lengths behind. So my question is, are yall allowed to speed when you have no lights/siren on? Because if not, then you cant give me a ticket when youre breaking the law too. (At least thats how my brain works) lol

I am just brutally honest when I get pulled over and my answer on why am I speeding is always. “I could waste both of our times with excuses ,but I am responsible for how fast I am going so I really don’t have an excuse”. I honestly just get a warning most of the time.

Question for clarification from the comment you’re answering. Did they mean they were driving behind as in following/pacing or as in they past the officer/deputy/trooper going the other direction? And further, would you pull someone over for pacing you?
