@crmnallyobsessed: When "Tiger King" star Doc Antle showed up for his sentencing at the Federal Courthouse in Charleston, SC, he was not expecting a prison sentence after pleading guilty. However, a judge decided he should spend 12 months in prison for trafficking exotic animals and money laundering. Bhagavan Antle ran the Myrtle Beach Safari which was known for charging visitors hundreds of dollars to pet and hold young exotic animals. Those animals included lions, tigers, cheetahs and chimps. Antle will also have to pay a $55,000 fine. A PETA lawyer said the judge's sentence of prison for Antle sends a strong message to other animal abusers and exploiters that this conduct will not be tolerated and they will face justice.
