Personally this is why I prefer to install them about 6" above grade so it doesn't easily get hit by a lawnmower

As a water restoration specialist with master credentials and years of inspections under my belt, I recommend a camera in the line at every opportunity. You never know what you will find. I don't care if it's new build or 100 years old with never a problem, run a camera. cheapest insurance against clogs.

Spring time :
Happened to us last month. Landscaper ran their lawnmower over the pipe, pieces of it fell down and started backing up our sewer line, leading to flooding in the basement. We assumed that our sewer line was clogged and kept pouring drain cleaners but we were diagnosing this thing incorrectly before the plumbing company arrived. Very expensive repair. I would build this above ground so that they can see it even when the grass grows tall

Why just put a valve box or something over it so they don’t damage it?

now that you lowered it. it will get buried and in 5 years will get a call for a backed up system and think there's no clean out

Why glue it. If you don’t glue the cap it takes 3 seconds to fix when it’s hit next time.

Put an irrigation box over it to protect it and make it easily visible.
