That’s a good idea! Only reason I still pull the pto is so I can’t get the trans out from under the truck. Until I can afford a set of those fancy wheel lifts 😁

After many years, we finally just took the time a few weeks back to make a plate that adapts to the bottom of the box/pto which then bolts to the trans jack. Days of blocks and a strap over the top are gone

The older Lincoln jack were made to straddle the pto. You could drop it down to where the pto was an inch off the ground. Made it easier to get tranny out from under the truck.

Hey, just saying this does not work on 10 speed I found that out but.131 -18 the bigger ones if you put your trans jack up to the back of the PTO set your level all that shit two ratchet straps front and rear in a Y pattern it stays fairly balanced. No need for the blocks and your adapters. I have done this three times now successfully. It looks super unbalanced when you’re pulling it, but I I do add a quarter inch board on the rear across the weird puck and drain plug to make it more level but other than that it works.

I always unbolted the 4 pump bolts and pull the pump. leave the pto on the trans.
