All I had back then was a pair of 15-pound dumbbells, so I leaned into what I could do. Bodyweight workouts became my foundation, and push-ups were at the center of it. To this day, I still include them in almost every workout. Try adding a few to your day. You don’t need to be perfect, you just need to be consistent. Wrist pain during push-ups? Try using push-up bars, dumbbells, or even kettlebells to keep your wrists in a more neutral position. I started last year doing pushups. Had to do them on my knees or the counter. I just turned 49. I now do sets of 50 real pushups 8+ times throughout my day 5 days a week. I recently added a plank in after each set. It’s amazing what it can do.
