We’re heading to Japan in 2026, and I wanted the kids to be part of the planning so I turned our itinerary options into a voting night, complete with slides and dramatic reveals! Honestly, it was such a fun way to get them involved and lock in the activities we’re all excited about. Highly recommend! 🎌 A few Japan trip planning tips if you’re starting out: • Start with your must-visits, we chose 2–3 key places in Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto and built around those • Plan around your kids’ energy levels. We’re spacing out big days (like Disney or Universal) with slower ones (parks, cafés, museums) • Get the kids involved, even little choices like “boat ride or shrine visit?” make it feel more special • Leave free days. We’ve built in a couple of ‘vote-on-the-day’ slots so we can adjust as we go • Use visuals!
