Oh, I saw a posting on social media that Kerrville county or Kerrville refused to move forward on a siren alert system as being cost prohibitive even though they were advised highly by the consult firm, they hired to do so.

Alarms...Kerr County didn't want them. The County refused infustructure funds twice by the Obama Administration and again by the Biden Administration simply because it was from Democrats.

The fact is that the area has asked for funding for sirens and have been denied multiple times and now Governor Abbott wants to do something. Only after all this death. It could have been avoided all those lives lost if the funding had been approved either times the county had asked for the siren upgrade.

Nah, funding was turned down TWICE. Show those lawmakers’ faces, list their names. Camp Mystic wasn’t certified by the ACA. There is a LOT of fault here, but lawmakers will redirect attention to avoid blame. Same shit over and over with Texas Republicans.

Because your local government originally turned down the federal funds to upgrade your alert systems. Your own citizens fought accepting the money, then your county officials took it and used it for other non necessary things! Find out how that money was spent. My dad always said “follow the money”

I really hope they're looking into the Fire Cheif in Austin. He refused to pre-deploy resources to Curvil Texas because of cost. The union tried explaining that they get reimbursed by the state of Texas. He didn't seem to understand what that meant. His fireman are highly trained in flash floods. Guess why he was hired

All I can’t think of is the camp girl who said they were told to go back to bed when they woke up when they heard the flood rain came. Flood warnings went on the 3rd. Not judging I’m just saying they should have evacuated from the camps to be certain they could be safe. 💔
