🙄No way! In São Paulo , just like NYC (I’m from SP, living in NYC) tons of people wear loafers with high socks 😂. If you go out in Santa Cecília or downtown, people dress all kinds of ways. There’s no ‘right’ look. Now, if you’re in Moema or those areas… hahaha yeah, expect the black dress, same hairstyle, and the whole uniform vibe!

I ended up in a favela funk party somehow as an american. They literally had an open air drug market and dudes everywhere with guns. Didnt get robbed nobody bothered me it was a crazy experience that i wouldn’t repeat unless i knew people there (i didnt).

Thanks for the tips ❤️where would you recommend we stay in São Paulo? I’m thinking vila madalena. Also we arrive on a Tuesday, is there nightlife during the week? I’m not sure if we should just do 2 nights and move on with our trip (next iguazu falls and rio) or extend our stay in São Paulo? Will we experience anything on Tuesday/Wednesday at all?
