@trainlikekane: Farmers Carry PB 99KG each hand, 2 x 10 Metres. First time giving this a bash since the end of March when I had my competition. Quite frankly it's not a lift I particularly enjoy, and it kills my hands 😅 Nonetheless its a part of Strongman, I do like it's functionality, and it's certainly good for working your traps and grip strength. So here I am giving it a whirl again keeping it in the rotation. Only a 2.5KG increase in each hand, but with zero training on it since then I'm definitely happy with that progression and clearly I've got some crossover from the rest of my training. I've also checked the old video of my last PB run at 96.5KG and this one is faster and smoother even with the heavier weight, so sometimes there's progress in things other than the numbers which is still relevant. To the non strongmen this exercise has some great functional crossovers, obviously this is very much how we often carry things as humans in day to day life. And specifically the grip strength, keeping your grip strong is a great way for us to age gracefully, as is the ability to move efficiently under load.
