8 crowns is an aggressive amount of crowns. My first question would’ve been why did no one talk about this at our last visit bc I doubt 8 bad cavities just popped up. Where was the prevention plan?

I’m confused , the whole point of getting a cleaning/checkup every 6months is to avoid all this and do preventative work. How did he suddenly get 8 cavities ?? 🤨

As a former dental assistant, get a second opinion for sure 🫶🏻 there are SO many unethical dentists that will try to do as much work as possible that isn’t always even needed

Some dentists office are the BIGGEST scammers and once you start asking questions they always get snippy and try to rush you so you’ll get flustered and just schedule & pay them. It’s ridiculous!

I wish I knew better when my oldest was younger. He was sedated and got crowns soooo young. He was probably like 3-4 years old! WILD! Now he’s losing those teeth and he’s so happy they’re falling out.

I work in dental and I’m glad you sought a second opinion! I’ve just been doing silver diamine fluoride on my son’s small cavities until his baby teeth come out, stops the decay, less traumatic experience.

Yeah I was gonna say if he had nothing 6 months prior and suddenly had 8???? I would’ve asked a million questions. 1 I can understand but 8!!?? No you would’ve had to be feeding him pure sugar and not brushing, especially to need caps

I literally saved my sons life speaking up to doctors that wanted to send us home with some ibuprofen. He swallowed a clear plastic piece and it was stuck above his vocal cords.

They told my daughter who was 3 she needed 15 silver and 2 whites bc of all her cavities. And she would be put under. If she found new ones while under she "would go ahead and take care of it".... i took her else where she had ONE cavity and it didn't need attention. Definitely trying to scam.

My sons dentist said we had to get him put under but I’m against it. And they seemed snippy when I said no, he’s gotten work done before and he’s scared but it was doable. It’s $3500 out of pocket for anesthesia even with insurance.
