If you're experiencing these symptoms don't just go and ask to have the alternator replaced. Ask to have it tested because the issue may be caused by something else related to the alternator and the charging circuit.

even if your alternator is brand new and it was tested there's nothing wrong with it including the battery it could be electrical system somewhere that's shorting out. it also could be sorts of multiple problems.

Got a problem not long ago got abs, dtc, and low tire pressure lights on because of this. after almost stopping the car, gearbox light turns on and after a full stop and turning the car off it wont turn on except start jumping it with a booster or another vehicle. All happened in my bmw 318d E91.
