Sunset Shimmer wasn’t made to stay in the shadows. She went from being hated, misunderstood and feared to becoming one of the strongest and most loved characters in My Little Pony: Equestria Girls. And honestly? That development is still one of the best things in the whole franchise. This edit took me way longer than expected because I wanted every transition, every shake, every glow and every velocity part to actually fit her energy instead of just throwing random effects on the screen. Tried to make the atmosphere feel emotional but powerful at the same time — like that feeling when someone changes themselves completely but still carries pieces of the past inside them. Sunset’s vibe is just different. The colors, the attitude, the expressions, the redemption arc, the confidence she slowly gains over time… everything about her makes editing so fun. Especially in scenes from Rainbow Rocks and later movies where her character really starts shining. She’s one of those characters that can fit literally any style of edit — aggressive shakes, emotional edits, soft aesthetic edits, glow edits, velocity edits, even dark atmosphere edits. I also tried to improve my sync and pacing here because lately I’ve been focusing more on making edits actually feel smooth instead of overloading them with effects. Spent a lot of time placing markers, adjusting motion blur, fixing timing and trying to make the twixtor cleaner. Some parts probably still aren’t perfect but I’m getting better every edit and that’s what matters. Lowkey proud of this one because a few months ago I probably couldn’t make something like this at all. After Effects is still beating me up sometimes but slowly understanding more about flow, camera movement, graphs and cleaner transitions. If you watched the whole thing thank you fr.
