Everyone crying bandwagon wasn’t a kid in the 70s. The Steelers were ubiquitous. Mean Joe Greene with the coke commercials. Mine was not an NFL watching family, I didn’t live anywhere near Pittsburgh, and I still knew a half dozen Steelers by name. My second grade class was Mrs. Steelman, and we of course called ourselves “Steelman’s Steelers.” I didn’t pay attention to my hometown Chiefs until I was 18 and Marty showed up to make them interesting. 🤷♂️
