I’m sure it will be difficult but can we normalize just saying , “you are great but this is who I want to pay to do my hair. Just be nice and hopefully the stylist will take it in stride. It’s not a a snub or even a reflection of your quality, it’s just different and the client may like it better. 🥰

I had a similar thing. For years we went to Vicky, she moved to a different salon that was not convenient for us. She recommended a different stylist (Lisa) who we went to for a few years. Vicky then opened a new salon that was in a good location and Lisa switched to that salon. Luckily lisa let us know and said she was fine with us returning to Vicky .
