Almost every lingcod I've caught spit up either octopus or half digested blue rockfish on the boat lol. We fished Halibut and shallow water rockfish commercial for 6 or 7 years.

So we went from Brookings harbor to the lighthouse in northern Cali. We did get our limit on cod but we didn't get any lingcod ourselves, a few people caught a few tho then the dude fishing next to us got a 49 inch and 62lbs halibut on our last drop it was 250 feet down lol sure did make for an exciting ending to our trip.
