everyone in these comments needs to know that sleep apnea is not weight related!!! it has to do with the structure of your throat, weight can make it worse but is not the cause!

I had to use a cpap for 4 years because of my weight. I lost a lot of weight and was told I no longer had sleep apnea & could stop using the cpap

I turned 30 and had to be put on cpap. Literally cried after my appointment knowing I would need to be hooked up on a machine to sleep. But I have sleeping better and have more energy.

what I didn't like were the checkups. this thing told these people my heart rate, oxygenation, how often I took it off, felt like they were spying on me.

my cousin died in her sleep from sleep apnea. Don't feel ashamed for using a medical device trying to keep you alive. the shame and hurt my cousins partner feels for not waking up whe. she stopped breathing is something else. He will never recover from that.

I have that exact same cpap machine and mask. There are times I wake up in the middle of the night and my mask is off. I be taking it off in my sleep smh. It’s hard to adjust to but it does help me when I do keep it on lol

As a nurse, I’m proud of you sis. Untreated sleep apnea can cause a variety of problems down the road. Quality sleep is so important.
